Credit Where It's Due: Katie Holmes

We resisted liking Katie's new hairstyle because initially it struck us as matronly and dull.

Looking at these pictures of her at the NYC premiere of "Hairspray," though, we are slowly liking it as part of an overall cute look. Or perhaps we are relieved to see her without the gross, alien hobbitness that is Tom Cruise.

However, she's never going to get us to seriously call her "Kate" Holmes.

Do we honestly like her? No. Must we confess secret admiration for most of her songs? Yes. Are we fascinated by her openly dating a blatantly gay man, Pete Wentz? Obvi. Does her new nose annoy us? A little.

Nevertheless, we put our feelings aside and judge "the look": dos thumbs up.

Credit Where's It's Due: Mary-Kate Olsen

Oh, we KNOW how shocking this (reasonably) congratulatory post is, particularly considering how MK looked a mere few days ago.

But we gotta give it to the little psycho: she looks okay in these pics. And Las Latinas will take it. It's not like we've never been there before; some mornings we get paid big buck$, while others we need to pull out the knife and stab the cheap, "unsatisfied" customer.

This is the right direction, baby. Note, also, that if you ever try to push Hobo Chic again, we will show no mercy.

Credit Where It's Due: Vanessa Williams

We didn't bother reading the article accompanying these pics because it's irrelevant: Vanessa Williams looks hott. Pretty, put-together, reasonably Disney-fied, and a bizarro-version of this.

We love it, chica, especially since you forced that white gigantrix (and hott transexual - what, you don't watch Ugly Betty?) to join the Vanessa Williams Love-Parade.

Credit Where It's Due: Grey's Anatomy

Notwithstanding her cute role in Moonlight Mile, Ellen Pompeo herself is near-fugly, and her character's "corpse" a few weeks ago hinted at the possibility of a special edition of Blind Date featuring Meredith Grey and Peter O'Toole. Other women on Anatomy's set, however, are currently scorching the pages of GQ, Marie Claire, and "O is for Oprah":

Sandra Oh often takes huge risks on the red carpet and usually nails them, and her unconventional beauty (meaning "skinny, but not post-rib removal, with a dash of impressive hair versatility and a touch of almost-disproportionate-but-just-right head size") is refreshing. Kate Walsh is simply stunning; she better not dye her hair blonde anytime soon. And Ms. Heigl stood up for 'mos everywhere while also remembering to digest her food and resist the urge to purge.

Ladies, Las Latinas salute you. Now someone PLEASE bang Alex.
